Mother's Day is coming, and you'd like to make a present? How about making a box to say "I love you" to your mum!

For this, you'll need three 240g/m2 Canson® Iris® Vivaldi® sheets: red, yellow and pink, the colours of love! We recommend you use a set square and a Lyra® pencil to draw the lines. You will also need Giotto® glue. All you have to do is follow these 6 steps!

Step 1

To make the box, draw an 18 x 6 cm rectangle using a ruler and a set square. Inside this rectangle, draw 3 squares with sides of 6 cm.

Then, draw a second rectangle of 18 x 6 cm and cut it into 3 squares of 6 cm.

Draw 4 tabs that will allow you to close the box. For this, use a protractor to obtain 45° angles. The tabs measure 1.5 cm on the side.

Note, the 5th tab (on the right of the drawing) is larger, because it will be used to open and close the box. It has two angles of 55° and its sides measure 2.5 cm.

Step 2

Cut out the box template.

Step 3

Bend and glue the tabs with Giotto glue for greater strength.

Step 4

Take a yellow Canson® sheet and draw a line 3 cm wide. Then cut the strip.

Fold the strip of paper like an accordion. Each fold measures 2 cm.

Step 5

Trace a heart on a pink Canson® sheet then cut it out.

Step 6

Glue the accordion into the box. Glue the heart onto the accordion.

Congratulations, you have just made a lovely Mother's Day present. When your mum opens the box, a beautiful heart will leap out!
