Rob Prior (1964) is an internationally renowned pop artist and fine art painter. ThoughPrior is most well-known for creating vibrant, vivid portraits of actors, musicians, andcultural figures, his expansive oeuvre also incorporates wildlife, expressionism,surrealism. In 2022, Prior made headlines with the sale of a single portrait of famed fashion iconVirgil Abloh. Prior completed the painting over the course of a two-hour performanceat Art Basel – Miami, after which the portrait sold for $1 million.
Prior holds an MFA from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He maintains a training studio inLos Angeles, where he makes his home with his wife and children.
