"The new Velvet paper has an innovative and unusual surface for pastel technique.
Pastel is absorbed deeply into the surface and is almost undamaged when touched.
On this paper you can see the slightest variations in close shades of tone and color, which creates picturesque areas in paintings.
This paper will suit perfectly to artists who mostly work with overlaying colors on top of each other, not heavily blending them. I also don't particularly blend the colors between each other much, but sometimes I use this technique. On this paper it is possible after applying 3-4 layers of pastel.
The paper perfectly withstands mixed techniques. I apply gouache, charcoal, watercolor and other materials in the first layers of paper and then already work with pastel.
Every artist will find their own interesting ways to work with this paper.
