Conrad Roset

For the first 29 years of his life, Conrad Roset has lived in his hometown of Terrassa, among colored boxes, pens and notebooks; He has also spent some time in Barcelona, surroundedby paintings, “moleskin” notebooks, muses, colored pencils and his gray cat.

Drawing has been a passion and a constant in his life, going  far back into his childhood, when he and his brother would draw whatever they fancied, until he began to draw some inspiration from women some years later and began drawing  muses -- his most personal collection. "I look for the beauty that gives the body its shape; I enjoy drawing feminine figures," says Roset.

He studied at the Escola Joso and at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona. Thanks to the dissemination of his artwork all across the internet, he started working for Zara.  There, he says, is where he learned the trade, consistency, and the time to study the varied works of renowned illustrators.

After a year, he began working on a freelancing basis, working for different brands, advertising agencies and publishers. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums such as the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, SopkeArt in San Francisco, The London Miles gallery, The Infamous in Madrid, as well as the Artevistas and Miscellaneous in Barcelona.  In addition, he  works as Professor of illustration at the BAU design school.
