Vicente Romero was born in Madrid in 1956. As it often happens with artists, he showed an early fondness for the arts, which was, thankfully, encouraged and supported by various members of his family. Soon after graduating with a bachelors degree at the age of 19, he began to pursue studies in sculpture at The Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, located in the heart of Madrid, where he graduated in 1981. After some wandering years he settled on the Costa Brava where he gradually began to fully dedicate himself to painting. In 1990, he created his first individual exhibition at the “Galeria de 4 Cantons” in Olot. Since then, he has lived on the Costa Brava, save for a brief hiatus when he returned to his hometown.
