The website latribudesartistes.com launches the Art School Prize.
Its purpose is to unveil tomorrow's talents. The award is aimed at students of French art schools. The chosen topic is "the praise of the community" in three categories: drawing, painting and photography.
For the award's first staging, the panel of judges will be headed by gallery owner Benoît Porcher. He will be backed by leading figures of the art world: Laurent Boudier (art critic), Jean-Pierre Chebassier (artist), Régis Bazin (digital printmaking specialist), Laurence Teuma (Internet manager for Canson), François Darmigny (photographer).
The Art School Prize will be awarded on 7 April 2011 at the Batofar in Paris. Throughout the day, the audience will have the opportunity to discover the works of selected students through a transient exhibition.
The website latribudesartistes.com was set up in February 2010 as a community site for artists. Its goal is to bring artists together and build links between all those who have a passion for artistic creation.
